4) Leave PE contact hole empty because of the pre-mating pressure contact pin , otherwise there is a danger that the contact will be pushed back when connection is made , resulting in impaired function. Close empty contact hole wit blind plug drawing 1139-4.46. 

Spring –loaded thermocouple pressure contact

 

The most common combination of materials is NiCr-NiAI with the code letter K.  The positive part is of nickel-chromium, (CHROMEL), the negative part of nickel-aluminium (ALUMEL).

The thermal e.m.f. of the type K is 4,095mV for 100° C. Standard EN60584 , IEC 5842-1982 allows in class 1 a limiting deviation of ± 1,5°C o ± 0,5% in a range of –40°C to + 1000°C.

The cable is connected by crimping . This should be carried out in accordance with standard MIL 22520 to ensure correct connection of the measurement cables ( cross section 0,14 mm² ) .

Note : For identification , the contacts are marked with one or two grooves .

Spring –loaded pressure contact

 

The contact carriers used are the standard contact carriers of series M,E… for nom. Ø 1,5 mm and 2 mm . Spring loaded contacts are used in docking systems with short suoke distances ( about 6mm) or in combination with standard plug contacts for signal contacts etc. MC – Spring loaded contacts are made of brass , gold plated.  The cable is connected by crimping .
